Founded in 1950 by R ay Martin, Martin Furniture Co. was originally a tiny shop in East Peoria.  Now a thriving business and major retailer of manufacturers such as La-Z-Boy and Broyhill. 

Smaller stores such as Martin Furniture can stay competitive against big stores and the internet by cultivating a good sales staff and offering more personable service.
